Is My Child Gifted? A Free Check
Some children learn fast, ask big questions, and burn out on work that feels too easy. Many gifted kids are bored, anxious or underachieving, and some are twice-exceptional: gifted alongside a difficulty that hides it. This free 2-minute check shows where your child sits.
- Learns quickly, with a big vocabulary and deep questions
- Bored or frustrated by schoolwork that feels too easy
- Intense, sensitive, or a perfectionist about mistakes
- Clearly capable, but underachieving or switched off
How often is this true for your child?
Learns new things much faster than other children their age.

What this check looks at
This check looks at the everyday signs of giftedness parents notice. The full GiraffeLens screening then measures the cognitive abilities a gifted assessment is built on, reasoning, working memory, processing speed and verbal knowledge, so you can see where your child's thinking is strongest, spot a twice-exceptional profile, and decide whether a full assessment for a gifted program or acceleration is worth pursuing.
Common questions
Can this tell me my child's IQ?
No. This is not an IQ test and does not give a score or percentile. A formal gifted or IQ assessment is done by a psychologist. This check, and the cognitive screening behind it, show your child's relative strengths and whether a full assessment is likely to be worthwhile.
What is twice-exceptional (2e)?
A twice-exceptional child is gifted and also has a learning or attention difficulty, which can mask each other so the child looks merely average. Because GiraffeLens screens cognitive, learning and attention together, it is well suited to spotting this pattern.
What does the full screening cost?
It is free to start; the full report and PDF, covering the cognitive abilities a gifted assessment measures plus learning and behaviour, are $49 (charged in your local currency).
